They ramp up the surface temperature almost instantly. We also use high-purity quartz so the tubes don’t warp when they’re cycling between extreme heat and cooling. And the best part? If your controllers can handle the wattage, you can just drop these right into your existing setup. The catch Now, look—nothing is perfect. Gold makes these lamps incredibly efficient, but it also makes them a bit “diva-ish” about cleanliness. If grease or flour dust builds up on that gold layer, you’ll get hot spots. And hot spots lead to burnt-out tubes. You can’t just ignore them; you’ve got to keep them clean to keep that reflection working.
