We built this infrared heating element to be a straight swap for the industrial heaters you already have. Its whole job is simple: blast out concentrated heat, and do it fast. Picture a freezing cold changing room or a process that needs a warm-up before it can even start. This element gets that space from “brrr” to “good to go” in seconds—without wasting time heating the air.
Power, Voltage, and Geometry—The Practical Stuff
When it comes to infrared, it’s all about packing a lot of energy into a small space. That starts with the electrical setup. These elements run on standard voltages—think 230V or 400V—and the wattage is matched to what the heater was designed to deliver. No guesswork. The length of the tube isn’t random either. It’s chosen to fit the reflector perfectly, so the beam hits exactly where you need it. A compact footprint, often around 300mm, means you’re not heating the whole building. You’re focusing warmth on a specific zone. That’s the beauty of it. But there is a trade-off. Higher wattage and voltage mean faster warm-up and hotter surface temps, sure. But your control gear and enclosure have to be ready for the load. If the heater housing is too small, the wiring and terminals inside will cook. So you size the element to the heater, and the heater to the space.
What It’s Made Of—And Why It Matters
We chose a halogen-filled quartz tube because it can take the heat—and the shocks. The halogen cycle keeps the filament stable and stops the tube from blackening over time, so you get consistent output for the long haul. Quartz also handles rapid heating and cooling far better than soft glass. It’s just tougher. And the connector? We went with the R7s base because it’s an industrial standard for a reason. It locks the tube in place, carries the current reliably, and makes replacement a two-minute job. Line up the pins, seat the tube, you’re done. The IP65 rating means it’s protected against dust and water jets. So whether you’re on a plant floor, in a washdown area, or right by an entryway, this thing won’t give up on you.
Where It Shines—And What It Feels Like to Use
This element was built for places where time is tight and failure isn’t an option. In changing rooms, you feel the heat almost instantly—radiating onto people and surfaces, not just swirling around in the air. In production, it pre-heats components and keeps things moving, even on the coldest mornings. As an engineer, you’ll appreciate the easy install. Same form factor. Same terminal layout. Same mounting footprint. There are no moving parts to wear out, and it burns clean. The only thing to keep in mind is heat management—make sure the surrounding components can handle the temperature. If they can, you get fast heat, predictable performance, and maintenance that stays simple.
