Let’s be honest: nobody wants to spend their weekend drilling new holes into a machine frame or rewiring a control cabinet just to get a new heater working. It’s a headache you don’t need. That’s why we build our heater modules as true drop-in replacements. Whether you’re running the old-school SBO lines or the newer Matrix series, these are designed to just… fit. The fit has to be perfect. Here’s the thing about Matrix and SBO ovens: they aren’t forgiving. If a module is off by even two millimeters, you’re in trouble. You’ll end up with misaligned infrared beams, which means some parts of your preform get blasted while others stay cold. That’s how you get those annoying wall thickness variations in your bottles. We map out the original Sidel mounting points and electrical footprints exactly. No custom brackets. No onsite machining. You just slide them in and get back to work. Power and Heat We use shortwave infrared tech because it hits the PET material fast. We also make sure the wattage and voltage match your power supply exactly, so you aren’t guessing. Now, high-wattage lamps are great for fast cycle times, but they’re brutal on reflectors. To stop them from burning out too quickly under that kind of heat, we use high-grade quartz glass. It just lasts longer. Getting them running We use standard connectors, so your team can swap them out quickly during a changeover without needing a degree in electrical engineering. One detail we obsess over is the reflector geometry. If the reflectors are sloppy, you’re just wasting energy and baking your oven chassis. We keep the heat where it belongs—on the plastic. But a quick heads-up: if you go for the highest wattage modules to squeeze out every bit of speed, keep an eye on your cooling fans. Those fans have to work overtime to pull that ambient heat away. If your ventilation can’t keep up, your electronics might trip, and that’s a shutdown nobody wants.
