That means smaller wiring and less voltage drop over distance. But there’s a trade-off: that focused heat makes the reflector and nearby parts run hot, so you need to plan for ventilation and clearance. Under the hood, we stick with a halogen-filled quartz envelope. It keeps the filament compact, hot, and bright, giving you strong shortwave infrared. Quartz handles thermal shock, too, so it stands up to repeated on-off cycles without cracking. A reflector coating pushes the output forward and cuts down on stray heat loss. And the R7s base?
