A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Here’s the trade-off. Because we’ve added real protection, these units are a bit heavier and take up more space. You can’t just hang these on a flimsy bracket and hope for the best—you’ll need a solid structural support to hold the extra weight. And a quick tip on the wiring: since the housing is tighter to keep the leaks out, things can get hot. Make sure you’re using high-temp cables. If you use cheap wiring, the insulation could melt near the entry points. And if the wires fry, it doesn’t matter how waterproof the seal is.
